Somehow I am not satisfied with any Twitter / Identi.ca client. Gwibber I like the integration into the system fairly well, but is incredibly slow. TweetDeck for Chrome as a browser app is an alternative, but the Chrome app can not handle Identi.ca. Here's what I've been a few days in the drawer, but keep forgetting to post habs. The absence of a menu bar with Google Chrome or Chromium does provide additional “horizontal pixels” on the screen, but I find the access to the settings of the browser on the “Wrench” not so comfortable. So I think it's good, that was built into the latest version of Google Chrome 12 and also in the beta of Chromium is an option to display the menu in the menu of global unity. In my article series on Unity shell of Ubuntu Natty I also had a post with instructions and screen shots taken, as you can get a counter display in the Thunderbird icon on the launcher. Fedora is the first Linux distribution that uses GNOME from house to third Unlike with the Natty Ubuntu GNOME Fedora 3 PPA provides a “pure” GNOME 3 and so on with the latest NetworkManager.
