[UPDATE] Mozilla's Firefox 5 gas and brings out today!
Somehow Has broken out between the browser manufacturers in a race. Google brings out every few weeks a new version of Chrome and Firefox pushes now less than three months after the release of Firefox 4, three days before the scheduled date out of the fifth edition of Firefox. Even the website has not been updated, but Linux users can already download Firefox 5.[UPDATE 22/06/2011: As expected coasts Firefox 5 in the repositories of Ubuntu. Users of Ubuntu Natty get the new browser is normally installed automatically, there is no need PPAs. Who still has an older Ubuntu installation at the start, the patient needs to do a little bit.]However, this is “only” the pre-compiled 32-bit version. Ubuntu users I would recommend waiting until the Firefox Stable PPA has been updated. In the past, this went pretty fast, so I would look tonight or tomorrow during the day time in the PPA. Or just wait until I bring a contribution here.
/ / PS: Perhaps we should not fall back on fas PPA. Canonical had even announced the support strategy for change to Firefox. Thus now, the Firefox 5 to the first test of this announcement. However, I can find out the mailing lists in this regard yet.
[UPDATE 19/06/2011: With my conjecture, I was probably right. On the Ubuntu-devel mailing list is the call but please eingetrudelt Firefox 5 from the Ubuntu Mozilla Security PPA or the Natty-Proposed sources to install and test. I.e. Natty users get automatically recorded in the next few days to update to Firefox 5 on the calculator.]
