The open-source image manipulation program PhotivoFiled under: Thoughts;
Actually I wanted to write something more Photivo and show one or another interesting example, but unfortunately my talent for creative photo editing is simply too limited. So I just want to introduce Photivo: Photivo is a free image editing program that runs under Windows, Mac OS and Linux. The source code and binaries for Windows can be from Google Code herunterladen.Prinzipiell reminds me of something Photivo Dark Table, where the program focuses only on the image processing.
Photivo is not a classic image editing program like Gimp or Photoshop. Rather it is an image manipulation program that can be effects on the loss to apply to the entire image. The project says of himself:
Photivo tries to Provide the best algorithms available, even if this implies some redundancy. So, to my knowledge, it offers the most flexible and powerful denoise, sharpen and contrast local Although, to get the desired results, there may be a quite steep learning curve.
Steep learning curve is to take seriously, unfortunately. Although the Photivo fake HDR tutorial describes the procedure as well, unfortunately my results were quite modest. Perhaps this is me, maybe just not at my best templates, but my result I want to show you rather not …
Can Photivo about the PPA by Dariusz Duma install very easily. Users of other Linux distributions have to Photivo unfortunately probably build myself. Instructions, this can be found on the homepage of the project …
$ Sudo apt-add-repository ppa: dhor / myway$ Sudo apt-get update & & sudo apt-get install photivo
Ready for Windows and MacOS builds are on the project page on Google. Lively exchange about the program, I found the program created images and much more on your current Photivo Flickr page. Generally seeks to gain for the project development, while not necessarily programmers are needed. Primary need is a translator and a new icon for the project.
