    Filed under: World;

    About the Kraftfuttermischwerk I've encountered a few days ago at this time-lapse video. Taken from the ISS, we see how America passes under the camera. You can see the lights of big cities, you can recognize as storm clouds to bring the lights and then finally as the sun rises again. The whole video, I find it incredibly impressive and beautiful.

    However, the video has

    Unfortunately a little weak, with only 9 frames per second it is very much gets jerky. It's a shame because the pictures depraved as to one, albeit very impressive slideshow. When watching the video is me, therefore, the program slowmoVideo by Simon Eugster fall back on. It can play videos “decelerate” in that additional intermediate images are calculated, ideal liquid that is to get the time-lapse video.

    The code of the program is under the GPL, currently runs only on Linux and slowmoVideo only on systems where installed an Nvidia graphics card with the proprietary Nvidia drivers, since slowmoVideo can morph to take pictures of the graphics card to work . I am not a born artist and have less experience with the herwandeln to and from video formats, so in the following video certainly puts potential.

    The installation of

    SlowmoVideo is currently quite a frickeling, so I did not just plow through so much like the procedure, but I'm a late filing in a few days, perhaps as a screencast. Nevertheless, after a few hours of computation see the result in my eyes is not bad. The video unfortunately loses some of its sharpness and you can see a few artifacts, but with a bit of effort to read the results improve.
