Filed under: News;No Comments
Unfortunately, a bulky Topic, but necessary if you Freetz From the current trunkFor the FRITZ! builds and still want to use the UPnP AV MediaServer. With the “normal” approach that I described in my guide to Freetz, the media server works, but the index remains empty. The FRITZ! Indexed and indexed without movies or music on the FRITZ! Emerge.Also FRITZ! Nas does at first glance, but again no content published on.The solution of the problem is found in the IP-Phone-Forum, you have to build not only current Freetz, but also the tool chain itself, as a special parameter must be set. The implications of this holding is relatively limited, but it takes up to 4GB of disk space for the action. And again in no uncertain terms, the action is necessary ONLY when Freetz trunk. Who uses the stable or the preliminary version of Freetz, where the media server should work as usual.

$ Make uclibc-menuconfig
…. a similar dialog as at make menuconfig and enabled under the “Big and Tall” to select “Support the nftw interface”. Thereafter, the procedure is not different in size, as described ursprüblich. Throw the build of the firmware on Freetz …
$ Make
On … and waits until the image is done in the appropriate folder. Then goes into the front end and Freetz plays the new firmware. Here are your current settings are not lost. After a restart, should the media server then fill with content that you then get with UPnP clients. Can
